As the school year starts coming to an end and summer break is approaching, many of us are already planning and thinking about how to spend our summer vacation. Our summer vacation is where we are able to feel less stressed out and not worrying about any deadlines and school work. Where we can finally get the sleep we need from all the school work. It also gives us time to have fun and enjoy your time with family and friends.
While we look forward to summer vacation, we should also be spending time outside and not just inside being locked up without any concern of the world. Summer time is about going out and having an adventure. Visiting a new place and meeting new people. It is important to take summer breaks to relax ourselves.
Despite the fact that summer break gives us quality time to ourselves, it also gives us the opportunity to develop our social skills. Sophomore Irma Jacome speaks about ideas on how to spend summer vacations. “Going out with my friends to the mall, going shopping or even watching a movie with my friends, or going out to eat.” said Jacome. “For this summer I’ll also want to fly out to my home country with my cousins and visit my family.”
There are several benefits of a summer vacation, summer break plays a very important part for both students and teachers. It is the time we take for ourselves and time to relax our brains from all the hard work. And not worrying about school but enjoying your time. Spending our summer with a fun activity to do and get us moving, visiting a new place, going out camping with friends enjoying the wilderness, applying to a new job to start saving up money etc. As long as you are also taking time to yourself and enjoy your break with a little fun.
Government teacher Lorianne Baird who has experience of enjoying her summer vacation as a teacher. “This summer my whole family is doing a week-long cruise in the Caribbean for my moms sixtieth birthday and I’m excited for the cruise because my husband has never been to a cruise before.” says Baird.
Mrs.Baird also speaks about the management of her summer break as a teacher. “I typically take a few short vacations throughout the year rather than one big one.”
With summer just around the corner, it’s a good time to start planning on how you’ll be spending your summer vacation and enjoying it with an adventure. You can spend your summer vacation however you’ll like but make sure to make them memorable. Because summer is the time that allows everyone to have time to follow their passions.
