Starting from April 3rd seniors officially have 27 days left as a High school student. Many see it as a bitter moment while many see it as a sweet moment.
The class of 2024 started off roughly, for example We were virtual during our freshman year, then most people lost their communication skills then we had to get back on track in order to make it to where we are today.
Despite all the challenges, we made it!!! * Here are a few seniors that have something to share*
Umu Kawa, Co’24

Q:How was freshman year and currently senior year been for you?
A: Freshman year was decent, it was pretty easy. Most of it was virtual so I didn’t really have the experience that I would have had if I was in person.
Currently senior year is better than expected, it’s pretty easy.
Q: How much or how little do you think virtual learning affected your high school experience?
A: It basically affected everything due to everything being online but it’s way easier to access now. I expected it to be much easier after the virtual learning session because everything was online.
Q: What was your favorite year of high school and why?
A: Probably junior year although some people say it was the hardest year but for me it was easy. I had more fun, I stayed after school to join more activities and interact with more friends.
Q: How do you feel that you will be graduating soon?
A: It’s a sweet and sour experience because we are going to finish high school soon but the one thing we want to get over with is school and having to wake up early. But at the same time you won’t be able to see your friends as much anymore or possibly that will be the last time you see them, which is a bit sad.
Q: What will you miss most about high school?
A: Mostly just the friends, that’s mostly the reason why I come to school. Just to see my friends and the teachers.
Q: A short message to your future self?
A: Keep doing what you are doing and don’t worry too much about the future because you still have plenty of time.

Q: How was freshman year and currently senior year been for you?
A:My Freshman year was like the worst year ever because it was during covid, basically it was like middle school for me because I was home and there was barely any high school experience attached to it. But currently my senior year is honestly the best. I mean the best in grades, socially, emotionally and physically.
Q: How much or how little do you think virtual learning affected your high school experience?
A:Virtual learning definitely affected my high school experience because I wasn’t able to communicate with the teachers properly and also I wasn’t able to ask as many questions as I would ask. Also wasn’t really comfortable because I couldn’t see the teacher physically.
Q: What was your favorite year of high school and why?
A:My favorite year of high school would be my sophomore year because that was when I returned from virtual learning and I had the experience of communicating with people, socializing and also had the opportunity to boost my GPA from a 2.5 to a 4.0.
Q: How do you feel that you will be graduating soon?
A:I feel excited and also I have mixed feelings about it because I am excited about what the future has in plans for me because I know that this is just the starting point. Although I am kind of scared of getting out in the real world.
Q: What will you miss most about high school?
A:I will definitely miss my teachers and also my friends because high school is the starting point of where you find friends but college is where you build your real friends.
