Keenan Te is a 20-year-old Australian TikTok artist, singer, and songwriter. He has 1.7 million followers on TikTok and over 950,000 listeners on Spotify. Te’s first song called “Hello”, was released on Oct. 22, 2020. It has over 35 thousand views on Youtube, and 510,939 streams on Spotify. His hit song called “Dependent” has over 1 million views on Youtube, and over 13 million streams on Spotify.

Francis Karel

Francis Karel is a 23-year-old American singer and songwriter. Karel began posting Omegle reactions on Tik Tok during quarantine. He has 2.3 million followers on TikTok and over 660,000 listeners on Spotify. His song “You’re Too Close” has over 1 million views on Youtube and 6 million streams on Spotify. According to an interview with Euphoria, “And that’s when I realized Tik Tok’s algorithm is different from any of these other applications because I didn’t know that I could reach millions of people without having any followers,” said Karel. “ The next morning, I woke up and had over a thousand followers and then six hours in, I had 10,000 and I was like, Whoa, this is growing really fast.” Karel had gotten many praises from celebrities like Bebe Rexha, Zedd, Tori Kelly who even sang his song “You’re Too Close” on TikTok), etc.

Lyn Lapid

Lyn Lapid is a 20-year-old Filipino-American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. She started to make Tik Tok videos in 2019 covering songs from other artists. Lapid has 4.7 million followers on TikTok and over 2,000,000 listeners on Spotify. She received a lot of attention by posting mini clips of verses from a song she made called “Producer Man”, released on Oct. 14, 2020. “Producer Man” has over 6 million views and was the very first song Lapid created.

Neena Rose

Neena Rose is a 20-year-old Canadian singer and songwriter. She has over 900 thousand followers on TikTok and over 100,000 listeners on Spotify. Rose released a song called “War Zone” which received a lot of attention because of its deep meaning. The song is about the first stage of depression, where everything seems so loud and confusing, but no one can tell besides you. Rose revealed snippets of the song on TikTok and fans absolutely loved it. She officially released the song on Feb. 21, 2021.

Lauren Spencer-Smith

Lauren Spencer-Smith is an 18-year-old American singer and songwriter. She has over 3.2 million followers on TikTok and 9,000,000 listeners on Spotify. Spencer-Smith was known before Tik Tok through American Idol when she went on the show at age 16. However, TikTok played a big part in Spencer-Smith’s career. She released a song called “Finger Crossed” which has over 1 million views on Youtube. The song took over TikTok, many people created content using the song and sang their hearts out.

TikTok was made as a form of entertainment for people. However, there’s a beneficial side to it, which allows content creators and artists to grow through the platform.
